MSPs and AI Rollouts

Ask an MSP how fast AI got rolled out across client accounts, they will give you a number, probably with pride.

Then ask what happens when one of those tools does something nobody authorized: who catches it, and how fast? Usually a pause. Then "whoever notices first." or something like that.

That's not hypothetical. A 2026 survey of 333 MSPs found 94% are investing in AI governance and compliance automation. Only 43% say they've actually matured enough to deliver it. Bitdefender's 2026 assessment found nearly half of organizations have partial or no visibility into AI tools already running in their environment.

The tools shipped. The oversight layer did not, and nobody notices until something breaks that nobody can explain. No log, no record, just a shrug.

Governance isn't the exciting part of AI adoption. It's the part that matters the day something goes wrong.
